Five-star prospect Abdou Toure leads BABC to undefeated record, updates recruitment

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA — Class of 2026 five-star prospect Abdou Toure has been sensational for Adidas 3SSB’s BABC program to kick off the summer AAU season.

Toure, the 6-foot-6, 185-pound small forward out of Notre Dame West Haven (CT), has led BABC to an undefeated 8-0 record through the first two sessions. His squad is one of two teams, along with Game Elite, yet to lose a game.

Over those eight games, Toure has averaged 16.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He’s also totaled 12 steals and 11 blocks while shooting 56.8% from the field and 9-of-24 (37.5%) from 3-point range. His best game in Iowa came vs. the Atlanta Celtics, where Toure scored 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting and tallied two blocks.

“I’m a hard worker and I’m a dog,” Toure told ZAGSBLOG. “And I get to the rim and make shots when I need to. My best trait is attacking the basket and I’m really trying to improve my 3-point shot, making it consistent.”

Top-25 talent Abdou Toure ‘26 had a stock-rising weekend on the adidas @3SSBCircuit with @thebabc — who sits at 8-0 in league play. The 6’6 SF scored at all 3 levels via explosive dunks, ball screen reads for drives/mid range pull-ups + catch/shoot threes. Really gets after it 💯 pic.twitter.com/yhEyS9H7b6

While Toure shined at 3SSB Session 2, several college coaches were watching. Specifically, Alabama’s Nate Oats, Baylor’s Scott Drew, Louisville’s Pat Kelsey, Marquette’s Shaka Smart, Mississippi State’s Chris Jans, Pitt’s Jeff Capel and UConn’s Dan Hurley were among the head coaches who caught a game courtside. Assistants from numerous Power Five programs were spotted as well. Toure said Louisville, Syracuse, Tennessee and UConn, among others, were some of the schools to hit him up about watching him in Iowa.

The five-star has offers from double-digit programs including Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Bryant, Florida State, Louisville, Mississippi State, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Providence, Rutgers, Sacred Heart, Stanford, Syracuse, UCF, UConn and Yale.

Toure hasn’t taken any visits so far in the process and said he won’t start taking those until the fall before high school season. He broke down a few of the programs involved to ZAGSBLOG:

Arkansas: “Arkansas is a good school. I like them. Coach [John Calipari] brought a lot of players to the NBA. He’s a good coach.” Arkansas had assistants Kenny Payne, Chin Coleman and Chuck Martin in Iowa.

Louisville: “It’s a new staff. They’re building a new program. Just everything about them is nice.”

Tennessee: “They just hit me. They just hit me up like this past week. That’s a new one for me. I’m going to learn about them.”

UConn: “It’s a good winning program. They have a winning history.”

Toure’s recruitment is still very open. He said he’s talking the same way with every school, just “chatting it up” and learning more about all the programs. The five-star has no timelines for his recruitment at the moment.

When things do start taking shape, Toure wants a program where he can be himself and really fit in. He’s also looking to show college coaches that he’s a winner this summer.

“I’m feeling good,” Toure said of his summer so far. “Making this move, it was a big move for me. But I’m adjusting everyday. All together, all the games I’ve played, we haven’t lost a game yet. So I’m feeling good. We’re improving every game.”

Toure is ranked the No. 24 overall prospect in the 2026 class by 247Sports. His favorite NBA player is LeBron James, and an interesting fact about him is he loves to rap and freestyle.
