The former Indiana commit is the No. 9 player in the Class of 2024.
UConn men’s basketball made a major addition to its 2024 recruiting class with a commitment from five-star forward Liam McNeeley. McNeeley, a former Indiana commit and the top remaining uncommitted player in the class of 2024, visited Storrs earlier this week.

McNeeley, the No. 9 player in the 2024 class, joins guard Ahmad Nowell (No. 34 overall) and forward Isaiah Abraham (No. 58) to round out UConn’s incoming freshman class. The 6-foot-7 McNeeley just earned MVP honors at the McDonald’s All-American game and is widely regarded as the top shooter in the class with an elite feel for the game.
The addition of McNeeley should help ease the pain caused by the departures of shooters such as Tristen Newton, Cam Spencer and potentially Alex Karaban. With the 2024 recruiting class set, Dan Hurley will continue to fill out the 2024-25 roster via the transfer portal, where UConn remains in the mix for multiple players.
