It’s not the ACC but it does have ‘Atlantic’ in it
For the first time in their history, Syracuse Orange ice hockey is changing conferences… at least in name.
SU and the other women’s programs in College Hockey America will merge with the men’s Atlantic Hockey Association to form Atlantic Hockey America. The new AHA will feature 11 men’s teams and six women’s.

The Orange will continue to play against Lindenwood, Mercyhurst, Penn State, RIT, and Robert Morris in the new conference, as well as Delaware, who will be joining as a women’s only member in 2025.
Syracuse has had relative success in CHA, winning the conference’s regular season title in 2022, its tournament in 2019 and 2022 (and earning an automatic NCAA qualifier both times), and finishing as the tournament runner-up seven times.
However, the program’s hit a rough stretch over the last two years, including their lowest ever win percentage this past season.
