
And the softball season comes to a close
The Syracuse Orange spring athletics season is in full swing so we are back with these weekly recaps as we look to keep you updated on the Olympic sports.
Softball (27-22, 6-18)
Syracuse’s season ends with the Orange getting swept by Cal last weekend. The Orange were only able to score two runs in the three-game series as they fell into a tie with NC State just one game ahead of Boston College at the bottom of the ACC.

RBI: Madelyn Lopez- 29

M. Rowing
Syracuse will compete next at the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass on Sunday May 18th. The Orange will be looking to qualify for the IRA National Championship Regatta, which takes place May 30-June 1 in Camden, NJ.
W. Rowing
The Orange women are defending their ACC Championship on May 16th and 17th in Clemson, SC. Coverage will be streaming on ACCNX.
Track and Field
Syracuse was in action at multiple meets last weekend. Down at the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Emmanuel Joseph was 3rd in the 110m hurdles in a time of 13.89 with Naseem Smith finishing 7th in 14.14. Malachi James set a season-best with a 10.29 in the 100m. Taleea Buxton earned an ACC qualifying time with a 13.47 in the 100m hurdles.
At Princeton, four Orange runners met the ACC standard in the 1500m run: Savannah Roark 4th in 4:17) Heidi Demeo (7th in 4:18) and Emma Eastman (12th in 4:19.78) for the women and Assaf Harrari (3rd in 3:43) for the men. Julien Franjeh took 1st in the 3,000m steeple with an 8:48.
The Orange will be in action at the ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championships May 15th-17th in Winston Salem, NC.
