And Syracuse adds a new assistant coach
The Syracuse Orange will try something new this Fall to prepare for the 25-26 season. Instead of hosting Division II teams in the JMA Dome, Syracuse will head west to play the Buffalo Bulls on October 25th.

A new rule change allows D1 schools to face each other in exhibitions (not just scrimmages) and Syracuse will take advantage of this to get their new roster a tougher challenge away from home.
The game will be held in the KeyBank Center, which is where the Orange made two NCAA Tournament appearances and where 2026 NCAA Regional games will be held. It’s not Toronto, but Syracuse is giving their Ontario fans a shot at making a shorter trip to see the team in action.
Syracuse is also going to host Pace again for their second exhibition game as confirmed to Syracuse.com by newly appointed assistant coach Pete Corasantini.
“A lot of teams right now are playing one Division I and then maybe a closed scrimmage or are still doing that Division II game,” Corasaniti said. “So we’re still going to do a Division II game at home.”
Perhaps this rule change could bring us a Syracuse-Siena exhibition in 2026 in Albany?
