Surprise surprise…he’s a track guy too
The Syracuse Orange keep reaping the benefits of recent recruiting visits. Yesterday the Orange got a verbal commitment from 2026 wide receiver/corner back Zikhere Leaks from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
The 6’2” 190 lb. Leaks is rated a three star recruit by 247 which lists him as the 48th-best player in Pennsylvania in the class. Leaks had offers from UConn, Buffalo, and Temple. In addition to his ability on the gridiron, Leaks fits the profile of a lot of recent skill position recruits in that he also excels on the track. Leaks is the Susquehanna Township school record in the 110m hurdles.

Syracuse certainly likes players like Leaks who bring size and speed to the roster. Right now he’s being recruited as cornerback, but we’ll see what happens when Zikk arrives on campus. Here’s a look some high school highlights:
Syracuse is now up to 20 commits in the class, which is ranked 28th by 247 and 39th by On3.
