The second commit of the week is a linebacker adding to the Florida contingent.
Three-star defensive back Jeremiah Wilson kicked off the recent recruiting week for the Syracuse Orange on Wednesday afternoon following his campus visit last weekend. It looks like that is now followed up with the second recruit of the week in Mekhi Mason, a linebacker out of Florida.

Mason hails from Opa Lacka, Florida, standing at 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds. He attends Monsignor Pace high school in Miami Gardens. He comes to the Orange after receiving offers from Florida State, LSU, Georgia Tech, Pitt, Louisville and a good number of other power five schools.
He is the first linebacker to sign for the Orange this cycle, and can play both middle and outside, which should help to find the field in the current 3-3-5 alignment. Mason is the sixth commit in this cycle for Syracuse and joins the aforementioned Jeremiah Wilson and Belizaire Bassette as Florida commits this class. Another nice snag for recruiter Nick Monroe.
Welcome aboard, Mekhi! Season highlights are attached from his junior year, below:
