Jordan Riley is finishing up his sophomoe year at Georgetown but has already visited Seton Hall and has several other visits in the works.
The 6-foot-4 guard from Brentwood, Long Island recently visited Seton Hall, which is in need of some backcourt help.
“It was a good school,” he said. “I got to see the campus but not with the people on it [because of break], but Sha and them have good energy. They’re going to help me develop more as a player and become a point guard and shooting guard. It was overall good.
“They press a lot so the workout I did was a lot of running, and shooting. They said they can help me with my shot and make it a lot better than what it was.”
Riley averaged 4.6 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting 38% from the field and 19% from deep. Coming out of Brentwood High School, Riley was named Mr. New York Basketball and Newsday Player of the Year.
He also hopes to visit St. John’s sometime next week and Manhattan at some point. He may also visit Temple.
Under Rick Pitino, St. John’s has added four transfer guards already in Daniss Jenkins and Cruz Davis (Iona), Sean Conway (VMI) and Nahiem Alleyne (UConn).
“If Temple reaches out, I may go there to see what they’re doing,” he said. “And when I go back to New York, I’m going to go visit Manhattan College and see how it is over there.”
