Nets to add center David Muoka to summer league roster

Now that the 2024 NBA Draft is in the rearview mirror, the Brooklyn Nets can focus on other aspects of the offseason now that they have clearly picked their direction. As Brooklyn moves through the rest of this summer, they will have to assemble their Las Vegas Summer League roster and it looks like they building steam.

Per Josh Goodwin of Executive Sports Management, the Nets will be adding center David Muoka to their summer league roster. This news comes out after the Nets have added two undrafted free-agents in Emmanuel University guard KJ Jones II and Villanova guard Mark Armstrong since the Draft concluded on Thursday.

Muoka, listed at 6-foot-10 and 235 pounds, already has experience with the Nets as he played for Brooklyn’s G League afiliate, the Long Island Nets, during the 2023-24 season. Muoka played in 33 games (10 starts) and averaged 4.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 56.9% from the field and 40.0% from the free-throw line.

Muoka, 23, came to the NBA during the 2023-24 following playing his first two seasons at Lamar University before playing his final two seasons at UNLV. The Washington Wizards’ G League afiliate, the Capital City Go-Go, chose Muoka with the third overall pick in the 2023 G League Draft before placing him on waivers, allowing Long Island to claim him from the player pool.
