After LaMarcus Aldridge was medically cleared for competition, Brooklyn Nets fans at Barclay’s Center welcomed him back with open arms, but after a long and disappointing season, the feeling is no longer mutual.
Aldridge is another Nets player or staff member to be hinting at an exit from the organization, looking to possibly reunite with his former coach, Ettore Messina.
Before spending five years with the San Antonio Spurs, Messina was a highly decorated EuroLeague coach with two Coach of the Year awards along with four championships.
Messina left the Spurs back in 2019 to sign a three-year contract for Olimpia Milano, a club that competes in the LBA Italian league.
Earlier this week Messina posted the pictures below from practice on Instagram with the caption translated to, “Workout in style. CHAMPIONS OF ITALY.” Aldridge’s comment hinted at a possible reunion overseas.

Aldridge commented, “Let me know if you need a shooting big.”
Is this yet another domino in the long line of Brooklyn Net staff members or players not returning to the team?
