The Brooklyn Nets (1-0) began their play in the Las Vegas Summer League on Friday as they beat the Indiana Pacers in over 97-95 thanks to Keon Johnson’s game-winning mid-range shot. Forward Jalen Wilson put up 25 points and seven rebounds to lead the Nets to victory and Johnson put up 16 points, five rebounds, and six assists to help in the effort.
Heading into Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn will be looking to keep the winning going as they are trying to get further in the summer league than they did last season when they made it to the semi-finals. Most Nets fans will be watching to see what Wilson, Noah Clowney, and Dariq Whitehead look like after going through their respective experiences during their rookie seasons.
In the first game, Wilson and Clowney (14 points and four blocks) played well as they seemed to be building off of how well they played during the 2023-24 season. Whitehead (five points on 1-of-12 shooting from the field) did not have the most inspiring performance, but it was encouraging to see him being active on the floor.
Here’s when and where you should tune in:
