The Brooklyn Nets (3-1) came into Thursday’s Las Vegas Summer League game against the Orlando Magic (2-2) looking to come away with a win so that they could stay in contention for the semi-finals. Thanks to some big performances from some players who will be getting a lot of playing time next season, Brooklyn was able to come away with a 102-100 win over the Magic to improve to a 3-1 record with a shot at making the semi-finals.
Jalen Wilson once again led the way for the Nets as he put up 33 points and 10 rebounds, including the game-winning bucket by driving into the lane and finishing through contact to reach the target score of 102 points after going into overtime. Wilson put the team on his back by shooting 11-of-20 from the field and 6-of-7 from three-point range to help Brooklyn close a game that they once led by as many as 16 points.
The Nets also received some huge contributions from players like Noah Clowney (18 points, five rebounds, and four assists) and Tyrese Martin (19 points, five rebounds, and three assists). With that being said, here are three takeaways from the Nets’ win over the Magic on Thursday:
