The New York Knicks shocked the world by defeating the Boston Celtics at TD Garden two days ago to take Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The two teams now head into a Game 2 that could make or break the series.
It took an historic number of three-point attempts and three-point misses for the Celtics to lose that game. But by hook or by crook, the Knicks got the W and if they can get the win in Game 2, the entire formula for this series changes.
That said, Boston are heavy favorites in this game (-10.5 as of writing) and will likely remain the favorites for the rest of the series as long as everyone stays healthy.
Ahead of the game, Knicks are pumped – as is the Knicks City Dancers dance team. One member of the team is Julia Race, who has gone viral for some of her incredible content ahead of Game 2.
From New York to Venice to Colorado to the Netherlands, Race has gone just about everywhere making photos and videos for her 6,700-plus followers to enjoy.
“At work @thegarden 💼,” she shared in March.
“Red nose, chapped lips, and 🍻,” she wrote from Colorado in March.
“The Invisible String Theory states that that the right people always come into your life at the right time, and were always meant to do so even when they were hidden in plain sight, until one day it was the right time for you both to meet, as if there was an invisible-string pulling you guys closer and closer to one another. That theory plus God’s intervention, that is how it all started for us or at least how I like to think it did. Happy birthday to my favorite string!” she wrote from the Netherlands in February.
“Go Knicks,” she wrote on a selfie photo.
Julia Race loves the cameras and the cameras love her.
If the Knicks can find the love for scoring more points than Boston over the next few games, they might just give Race more to celebrate.
Game 2 is at 7 p.m. ET and will air on TNT and truTV.
