Malcom Brogdon and the New York Knicks have agreed to a one-year deal. Brogdon spent last season with the Washington Wizards and will be entering his 10th NBA season. Brogdon is represented by Sam Permut.
Brogdon has appeared in only 63 combined games over the past two seasons after winning Sixth Man of the Year in his lone season with the Boston Celtics in 2022-23. Brogdon is a career 38.8 percent three-point shooter, but had a percentage of just 28.6 percent last season with the Wizards.
The Knicks will use Brogdon in a more limited bench role, which could allow him to remain a productive player into his 30s despite his injury history. New York also upgraded their veteran backcourt depth this offseason in signing Jordan Clarkson.
The Knicks also had offseason interest in Ben Simmons.
