The New York Knicks played their fourth road game of the season on Monday against the Miami Heat. Unfortunately, it was their fourth road loss, as they were unable to secure the win as they missed their final shot to tie or win the game at the buzzer, losing 113-115.
The Knicks have struggled on the road this season
They are now 0-4 on the road this season, joining the 1-13 Indiana Pacers as the only two teams without a road win this season. Playing at home versus on the road has been a night-and-day experience for New York, as they are 8-1 when playing at Madison Square Garden this season.

It should be noted that the Knicks were playing very shorthanded, with Jalen Brunson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring) both sidelined on Monday. Still, the team would like to see a victory on the road to get themselves going.
Three-point woes bit the Knicks hard on Monday, as they shot just 9-for-36 from beyond the arc in the loss to Miami. They were unable to generate clean offense without Brunson, and the lack of offensive flow was evident in the way they played.
The Knicks need to be better on the road
It’s still very early in the season, but they must find a way to play better when they are away from the Garden. Given that they have championship aspirations under their belt, they will want to prove that they can handle the pressure-packed environment that the road will be in a playoff setting.

Getting healthier will be the first step, as it will be tougher to win games without Brunson and Anunoby, regardless of where they are playing. Once they return, the hope is that this team can begin to fire on all cylinders and dominate any place they come and play.
They have four more road games ahead before they head back home. Wednesday’s game will be against the Dallas Mavericks, which serves as the best time to get themselves in the win column away from home.
