Who’s Staying and Who’s Coming In
Brown will reportedly keep Rick Brunson, Maurice Cheeks, and Darren Erman. However, Brunson won’t stay on as associate head coach. The Knicks want a new face for that role. They even asked the Pelicans about James Borrego. He declined, choosing to stay in New Orleans.
Brown is turning to familiar names to fill the vacant spots. HoopsHype reports that Charles Allen and Riccardo Fois, both of whom worked with Brown in Sacramento, are expected to join him. The Knicks fired assistants from the past to make room for allies from Brown’s own coaching journey.
