Even in the offseason, all eyes remain on the whereabouts of the New York Knicks. The team has had an eventful offseason, as they made a significant head coaching change and added two key free agents.
Lakers’ Luka Doncic praises Knicks’ Jalen Brunson
Los Angeles Lakers superstar point guard Luka Doncic chimed in on their whereabouts as well during an appearance on the YES Network broadcast of Yankees-Rays. When asked how he feels about the Knicks, he gave high praise to his former teammate, Jalen Brunson.

“I like the Knicks,” Doncic said (h/t SportsKeeda’s Itiel Estudillo). “I like my guy JB, you know that. I always cheer for them.”
Brunson and Doncic were teammates on the Dallas Mavericks for four seasons and were a part of the same draft class in 2018. Brunson would later sign with the Knicks in the 2022 offseason and blossom into a superstar, while Doncic was traded to the Lakers last season.
Brunson and Doncic have both taken monumental leaps in their games
The two stars still have great respect for each other and are happy that they are each successful. Both teams are looking to make a run at possibly winning an NBA title next season, with both players spearheading those respective teams.

While Doncic has been an established superstar for a few seasons, Brunson has burst onto the scene since joining the Knicks. He has established himself as one of the top scoring point guards in the NBA, and is arguably the top playoff riser in the league in terms of performance.
Their matchups next season and beyond will certainly be a must-watch.
