Mikal Bridges
On the ECF loss:
“Some will hate you, some will love you. Once you figure out what you can control, honestly, I ain’t have a caption and I’m just chattin about a whole lot of nothing.”
“Here’s the thing about coaches: The coaches that you all think suck and are dumb and slow to adjust, you have that conversation with them, you’re gonna realize real fast how out of your depth you are.”

On armchair coaches criticising Tom Thibodeau coaching methods:
“Here’s the thing about coaches: The coaches that you all think suck and are dumb and slow to adjust, you have that conversation with them, you’re gonna realize real fast how out of your depth you are.”
Tim MacMahon on the idea of the Knicks getting Jason Kidd from the Mavericks: “I would not dismiss that possibility.”
He adds it would be going too far to think Kidd wants out, but there have been franchise decisions that he wasn’t on board with #MFFL

Tim MacMahon
On potential Knicks interest in Jason Kidd:
“You’ve got to bring in a relationships guy. Listen, one of the names that’s been thrown out there is a man who’s under contract with another team, but definitely a guy who has relationships not just with Jalen Brunson but with a lot of people in that organization, and that’s Jason Kidd. And what I will say about that is I would not dismiss that possibility.”
On Jason Kidd’s situation in Dallas:
“I’m not gonna sit here and tell you that I know or even think that J-Kidd wants out of Dallas, that would be going way too far. What I can comfortably say is there certainly have been decisions, major franchise decisions that have been made that he was not on board with, one of which includes the firing of Casey Smith, who J-Kidd has been extremely tight with since his second tenure as a player in Dallas, who is now running the health and performance group for the New York Knicks. I think it would be way too far to hint, suggest or any of that that J-Kidd is looking to get out of Dallas. I think that would be not an accurate or fair thing to say. But if this opportunity were to present itself, I bet you his ears would perk up.”
Iman Shumpert: “I don’t know…They’re gonna put Rick Brunson in there. I think it’s time ♂️”
Brian Windhorst: ” I have not heard that yet…Whoever it is has to be a guy who has the respect of the locker room immediately. Veteran team that’s designed to win now…” pic.twitter.com/dPip9nDh14

Iman Shumpert
On Rick Brunson as a potential head coach:
“It’s time, they’re going to put Rick Brunson in there. I think it’s time. Go ahead and let Rick do it. His son’s already playing point guard.”
Brian Windhorst
On Rick Brunson’s candidacy and locker room dynamics:
“That’s an interesting concept. But I will say Whoever it is, has to be a guy who has the respect of the locker room immediately. … Rick is a guy who would have the respect of the team.”
Rick Pitino says he “feels bad” for Tom Thibodeau
“He captured all of New York and captured something very, very special. A lot of us don’t comprehend what happened, but Thibs is going to be well taken care of” pic.twitter.com/AZlUBGQUBg

Rick Pitino
On coaching the Knicks:
“Absolutely not.”
On pressure for next Knicks coach:
“I think whoever comes in, if he doesn’t get to the finals, it’s going to be deemed an unsuccessful season. So, whoever comes in has got so much pressure on them to take this team to the next level.”

JB Bickerstaff
On the Knicks head coaching job:
“It’s not an easy job.”
On coaching expectations:
“We have to do more…We have to overachieve in order to progress and move forward.”
On Tom Thibodeau’s reputation:
“I can’t speak enough about the respect he has in coaching circles about the job he is able to do. You know you are in a dogfight every time you face a Thibodeau-led team, and I think he did that with the Knicks.”
Commissioner Adam Silver speaks on #NBA Expansion in OKC. pic.twitter.com/nhv9XB0Osn

Adam Silver
On potential NBA expansion:
“I don’t think it’s automatic.”
“It depends on your perspective on the future of the league. You know, as I said before, expansion in a way is selling equity in the league, and if you believe in the league, you don’t necessarily want to add partners.
“On the other hand, we recognize there are underserved markets in the United States and elsewhere, markets that deserve to have NBA teams — probably even if we were to expand, more than we can serve.”
On a possible NBA European league:
“We think there is an opportunity to better serve fans there.”
On playoff scheduling, injuries, and not planning to shorten the regular season:
“If anything, there’s more space in the playoff games than when you and I grew up in the NBA. We used to frequently play playoff back-to-back on the weekends. Having said that, we, of course, look at it very closely. …In fact, injuries are considered down this playoffs from what has been historically our second-lowest in 10 years. So we have pretty healthy teams coming into the Finals now. So we look at it very closely. This question comes up a lot. I think I don’t want to make a change just to make it change.”
Tim Hardaway defends Michael Jordan’s competition and 90s basketball.
“Y’all think that we couldn’t play…he playin against scrubs…we let him do this, and that…alot of you guys, couldn’t play in our f*ckin era. We would’ve beat his a*s [Nick Young]…Mark Price was a bad mfer” pic.twitter.com/5QNrIfJ8LC
