Josh Hart said that he was still feeling the effects of a nerve injury in his right hand, including experiencing “numbness” and “tingling.”
“Yeah, my nerve hasn’t fully gotten back to what it was before,” Hart said following the Knicks’ win over the Bulls on Sunday. “So it’s a little bit of tingling, a little bit of numbness in part of my hand.
“Hopefully, at some point, that nerve will get back to where it was. Hopefully sooner rather than later, but right now it’s a process.”
Hart finished the win with 14 points and 9 rebounds.
Hart, who has also been dealing with a back injury suffered during a preseason game in Abu Dhabi, is not considering surgery on the finger.
Hart added that he remains focused on bringing his energy to the court.
“For me, I’m going through some adversity myself, physically and mentally, so my biggest thing today was going out there and playing with energy,” Hart said. “Just getting back to being myself.”
