The Dallas Mavericks have agreed to terms with Jay Triano to join Jason Kidd’s coaching staff, a person familiar with the situation confirmed to The Dallas Morning News. Triano will become the second-lead assistant on the bench behind Sean Sweeney, the person confirmed. Jared Dudley is also a front-of-the-bench assistant on Kidd’s staff. -via Dallas Morning News / June 10, 2025
The widely held belief is that Kidd, ultimately, is hoping to parlay the Knicks’ interest into a lucrative contract extension.
