There remains “strong support” within the New York Knicks to retire Carmelo Anthony’s No. 7 jersey, according to Ian Begley of SNY.
Begley adds that there have been internal discussions about retiring the jersey in recent weeks.
The decision to retire Anthony’s jersey will be made by James Dolan.
Anthony made the postseason three times in seven seasons with the Knicks.
The team have not retired a jersey since Patrick Ewing’s No. 33 in 2003.
