The Mets are acquiring right-hander Tyler Rogers from the Giants, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The Giants will receive pitching prospect Blade Tidwell, outfield prospect Drew Gilbert and a third player, reports Robert Murray of FanSided. The third player is right-hander José Buttó, per Joel Sherman of The New York Post. Both of the Rogers twins have been traded today, as the lefty Taylor was in the Ke’Bryan Hayes trade. The Mets have a full 40-man roster and will need to open a spot, unless someone from the roster is going the other way in this swap.
More to come.
