Over the weekend, it was reported that the New York Mets had made one acquisition a week ago.
So far, this offseason, the Mets have made their bullpen, a major concern from a year ago, a priority.
The team wasted no time re-signing Edwin Diaz to the biggest deal in MLB history for a relief pitcher. They acquired Elieser Hernandez and Jeff Brigham from the Miami Marlins in a trade. Also, the team took a flier with a claim through waivers on a high-risk, low-reward young talent in Stephen Ridings.
Supposedly, last Wednesday, the Mets made a move for former Boston Red Sox relief pitcher, Denyi Reyes. The Mets signed Reyes to a minor-league contract.

What to know about Mets’ new RP Denyi Reyes:
For starters, Reyes is still very young, as he just turned 26 years old earlier in the month. The right-hander is tall, standing at 6-foot-4.
As an international free agent, he first signed to an MLB club in 2014 with the Red Sox. Last November, he signed with the Baltimore Orioles. He made all three of his MLB career appearances to date with the Orioles last year, starting in one game, and finishing with a 2.35 ERA.
Up until this point, with most of his experience coming in the minor leagues, it is hard to know exactly what Reyes is. However, he has youth, size, and some talent that give him a chance to potentially help this Mets bullpen that needs to improve next year.
