Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/26-7)
SYRACUSE 4, BUFFALO 3 (BOX)
The Mets got to the rehabbing Shane Bieber, who was making his debut in the Toronto Blue Jays organization on his (possibly) final rehab assignment after being traded at the deadline to the Great White North. Omar De Los Santos drove in the first run in the second inning with a single in the second, and Luke Ritter drove in the second with a home run in the third.
Yonny Hernández plated two more with a single in the sixth, pushing the lead to 4-0. The bullpen held on for dear life after that, surrendering one in the seventh and two in the ninth before shutting the door.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (45-22*/23-10)
BINGHAMTON 2, HARRISBURG 0 (BOX)
Carson Benge continued to raise his prospect profile both in house and abroad, as he drove in both runs of the game with a two run home run. Despite only going 1-4 on the day, he ended the game with a 1.132 OPS, which is what we all love to see.
On the pitching side, the Rumble Ponies had an incredibly throwback shutout. Jack Wenninger took the bump and threw six scoreless, but it was not without drama. He gave up six hits, walked three, and only struck out three. Joshua Cornielly came in to relieve him and threw three scoreless innings for a save the long way.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (46-20*/14-22)
JERSEY SHORE 3, BROOKLYN 1 / 11 (BOX)
Brooklyn had another frustrating loss in a frustrating second half after a splendid first half. Nothing went right in this one, as they gave up two unearned runs — one due to a Colin Houck error and a catcher’s interference on Ronald Hernandez, and the other as the free runner in extra innings.
The Cyclones had six hits and A.J. Ewing had half of them — outside of the him, they could not get anything done. They were held scoreless through eight, and were staring a 1-0 loss in the face, when Houck drove in the only run with a sacrifice fly.
Despite tying it in the ninth, the tenth went scoreless for both teams, and the BlueClaws plated two in the top of the 11th to put them ahead for good.
On a positive note, Brendan Girton had a good start, continuing his strong season and lowering his ERA to 2.41.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (34-31*/26-10)
ST. LUCIE 9, DAYTONA 5 (BOX)
St. Lucie blitzed Daytona in this one, scoring all nine of their runs in the first five innings. Jeremy Rodriguez plated a run with a sacrifice fly in the first, and a wild pitch chased the second run home.
The bottom of the fourth was the big inning, as they plated four. Rafael Ortega drove the first one with a walk, and Rodriguez cleared the bases behind him with a double (that was misplayed and probably should have been a single).
They continued to add runs, driving in their final three in the fifth. John Bay, who was a UDFA signing after the 2025 draft out of Austin Peay University, hit his first professional triple to drive in two (although, really, it probably could have been cut to a single). AJ Selgado, another UDFA signing from this year, out of UCLA, drove him in with a ground out to make it 9-0.
The Tortugas got to the bullpen in the later innings, but the lead was too large.
- LF Rafael Ortega: 1-3, 2 R, 2B, RBI, BB
