Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/25-7)
SYRACUSE 5, BUFFALO 4 (BOX)
Syracuse built up a two-run lead early but squandered it in the fourth, when the perpetually-rehabbing Paul Blackburn allowed a pair of runs. The bats built up a new lead, this one a three-run lead thanks to a pair of home runs by Hayden Senger and Luis De Los Santos, but this time, the lead held. Barely. Jonathan Pintaro allowed a pair of runs to score in the bottom of the eighth and had the tying run on second base, but was able to reach down deep and get out of the inning without letting Buffalo tie things up again or worse.

GAME ONE
BINGHAMTON 3, HARRISBURG 0 / 7 (BOX)
The rehabbing Brandon Waddell, Luis Moreno, and Ryan Lambert combined to no-hit the Harrisburg Senators, albeit in seven innings. Waddell was sharp in his two-plus innings of work, striking out six, while Moreno won his seventh game of the season with three scoreless innings and Lambert saved his fourth game with a scoreless inning-plus. A Chris Suero two-run homer put Binghamton on the board in the second and Jacob Reimer added one more on a sac fly in the fourth.

GAME TWO
HARRISBURG 7, BINGHAMTON 5 / 7 (BOX)
Seaver King led off the game with a single, so there went the chance of two no-hitters in the same day. While he was erased in a double play and the Senators failed to score, they made up for it and then some with a five-run inning. Jonathan Santucci had been pitching fairly well coming into yesterday’s contest, but that’s definitely one he’s gonna want back. To his credit, he soldiered on and ended up throwing four more innings, all scoreless. Binghamton managed to scratch and claw their way back into this one, scoring a run in the third and then having a big four-run fifth, but Carlos Guzman gave up a pair of runs in the seventh and that was that.

JERSEY SHORE 7, BROOKLYN 4 (BOX)
Another day in the second half, another loss for Brooklyn. Despite the heaviest hitters being promoted to Binghamton, there’s still talent on this roster, but man…

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (34-31*/25-10)
GAME ONE
DAYTONA 3, ST. LUCIE 2 / 8 (BOX)
This game flew by- it began at 5:15 and an hour-and-a-half later they were already in the seventh inning. Neither team scoring probably helped speed things along. Given that this was game one of a doubleheader and seven innings were technically regulation, the eighth inning began with a ghost runner placed on second base and as Major League Baseball intended with these new(ish) rules, it produced runs. Daytona plated a run and made it a 1-0 ballgame with the tried and true sac bunt-single strategy, but catcher Alfredo Duno outdid himself with a two-run homer to follow that, giving the Tortugas a 3-0 lead. St. Lucie was able to close the gap in the bottom of the inning, scoring two runs, but couldn’t get over the hump. Of note, Mitch Voit logged his first professional hit.

GAME TWO
ST. LUCIE 6, DAYTONA 1 / 7 (BOX)
The Tortugas scratched a run across in the first, but that would end up being all they managed. St. Lucie erased their deficit and then some with a three-run second and followed that up with a three-run third.
