Catch up on all the Mets prospects in yesterday’s minor league action!
Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/9-3)
WORCHESTER 8, SYRACUSE 7 (BOX)
It was an ugly bullpen day for the Syracuse pitching staff – basically every pitcher was poor until the eighth. The offense did their best – with homers from Jared Young and the rehabbing Jesse Winker – but ultimately came up short. At least Winker will be reinforcing the MLB side in relatively short order.
- CF Luisangel Acuña: 1-4, 3 R, BB

Roster Alert: LHP Colin Poche assigned to Syracuse Mets.
Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (45-22*/8-4)
BINGHAMTON 5, HARTFORD 1 (BOX)
Maybe Binghamton is the new most-fun team in the system. Jack Wenninger struck out 11, becoming the second Met to reach 100 strikeouts (joining Jonah Tong). Ryan Lambert tossed another perfect ninth. And Jacob Reimer continued his breakout season with a three hit day, falling a triple shy of the cycle; he’s now got a .314 average w/ a 1.034 OPS at Double-A and is gonna rocket up lists come the midseason cycle.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (46-20*/8-7)
HARTFORD VALLEY 2, BROOKLYN 1 (BOX)
Ugly game for Brooklyn, in all honesty. A.J. Ewing was fantastic atop the lineup, accounting for 2⁄3 of the Cyclones’ hits and the only RBI. The rest of the offense was basically asleep though, and the pitching – despite allowing only two runs – gave up 11 hits. It’s been a slow start the second half – maybe things will pick up with some post-draft reinforcements.
- CF A.J. Ewing: 2-4, 2B, RBI, SB (38)
- 2B Marco Vargas: 0-4, K
- 3B Jesus Baez: 1-4, 2B

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (34-31*/9-5)
ST. LUCIE 3, DAYTONA BEACH 0 (BOX)
This was definitely a Single-A game. Only six hits, but five walks for each team. Jose Chirinos got the win after issuing four walks! That’s a rarity.
- SS Trey Snyder: 0-4, K
- 3B Jeremy Rodriguez: 1-4
- C Daiverson Gutierrez: 0-2, R, 2 BB, CS (2)
- 1B Yohairo Cuevas: 0-3, R, BB, K
