Catch up on all the Mets prospects in yesterday’s minor league action!
Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/7-2)
SYRACUSE 7, WORCHESTER 4 (BOX)
A double-dong day for Drew Gilbert, who now has five homers in his last five games. The season line remains frankly underwhelming (.232 AVG, .745 OPS) but maybe there’s more in the tank still. Pablo Reyes also went deep in support of Nolan McLean, who notched ten strikeouts in this best Triple-A start do date.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (45-22*/6-3)
BINGHAMTON 6, HARTFORD 2 (BOX)
Binghamton won this game with six runs on only four hits, but the most impressive feet was Ryan Clifford’s home run. Just an absolute mammoth shot that cleared the wall, then nearly cleared the double-high wall of billboards ten rows behind that. The hit tool is problematic, the approach too passive, but man if this works, Clifford is going to be a fun, fun player.
In other news, the rehabbing Jesse Winker was on base three times in four plate appearances. A return to the major league side is (hopefully) imminent.
