Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/20-6)
SYRACUSE 6, OMAHA 3 (BOX)
The Syracuse Mets become the first affiliate to reach the 20-win plateau in the second half. He two teams went back-and-forth early on, but after Syracuse took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the third they would hold onto it for the rest of the ballgame. Syracuse threw a bullpen game, using six different pitchers, but most had solid outings, with Douglas Orellana and Ty Adcock being the only of the six that allowed a run or more.

GREENSBORO 6, BROOKLYN 5 (BOX)
Brooklyn’s disappointing second-half circling the drain continued with another loss, their fifth in a row and their eighth in their last ten games. The Cyclones actually had the lead going into the later innings, albeit a razor-thin 1-0 lead. Sure enough, the bullpen blew it, allowing four runs in the bottom of the seventh. Brooklyn scraped one run back in the eighth, but Greensboro scored two in the bottom of the frame off of Brett Banks. In the ninth, they mounted a heroic comeback but fell a run short.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (34-31*/19-9)
ST. LUCIE 9, DAYTONA 0 (BOX)
St. Lucie’s modest little win streak grew to four games now thanks to a solid start from Franklin Gomez, some excellent relief pitching, and the offense showing up. Things stayed knotted up at 0-0 for the first few innings before St. Lucie finally got on the board on a catching error by Daytona catcher Carlos Sanchez, who tried nabbing Jeremy Rodriguez at second but instead allowed him to come all the way home when the ball sailed into centerfield. After getting on the board, St. Lucie added to their lead emphatically, plating four runs in the fifth, another in the sixth, and three more in the seventh.
