Catch up on all the Mets prospects in yesterday’s minor league action!

Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/21-6)

SYRACUSE 2, OMAHA 1 (BOX)

It’s been quite a run for Syracuse in the second half. Fifteen game over 500 after only 27 innings is impressive any way you slice it. This game wasn’t anything particularly special – Paul Blackburn’s solid rehab start was the highlight, and Luis De Los Santos’ homer accounted for both runs – but it was another win.

  • SS Yonny Hernández: 0-3, BB, K
  • LF Jared Young: 1-4, K
  • DH Joey Meneses: 1-2, BB
  • 3B Luke Ritter: 0-4
  • CF Drew Gilbert: 1-4, 2 K
  • 1B David Villar: 1-4
  • PR Gilberto Celestino: 0-0, R
  • 2B Luis De Los Santos: 1-4, R, HR, 2 RBI, 2 K, E (10)
  • RF Omar De Los Santos: 2-3, 3B, SB (1)
  • C Matt O’Neill: 0-3, 3 K
  • REHAB ALERT: RHP Paul Blackburn: 6.1 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
  • RHP Alex Carrillo: 0.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
  • RHP Justin Hagenman: 2.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (45-22*/19-8)

BINGHAMTON 17, READING 3 (BOX)

This sure was a Reading game, at least for the Rumble Ponies. Seventeen runs on nineteen hits, headlined by Carson Benge’s 2-homer, 4-hit day supported very solid pitching, turning this one into a bit of a laugher. Ryan Clifford also went deep, finished a triple shy of a cycle, and walked three times. Binghamton is another team off to a very hot second-half start, and as long as the Mets keep their top prospects here rather than bumping them up to Syracuse, expect that to continue.

  • 2B Jett Williams: 2-5, R, 2B, 2 BB, K
  • CF Carson Benge: 4-6, 4 R, 2 HR (5), 3 RBI, BB
  • LF Ryan Clifford: 3-4, 5 R, 2B, HR (21), RBI, 3 BB, K
  • 3B Jacob Reimer: 1-3, 2 R, RBI, 2 BB
  • 3B Wyatt Young: 1-2, 2B, 2 RBI
  • RF D’Andre Smith: 3-4, R, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 2 BB
  • DH Chris Suero: 2-5, R, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 BB
  • C Kevin Parada: 0-5, 2 RBI, K
  • 1B JT Schwartz: 2-6, R, 2 2B, RBI, K
  • SS William Lugo: 1-5, 2 R, BB, 2 K
  • RHP Jack Wenninger: 4.0 IP, 5 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 5 BB, 1 K
  • RHP TJ Shook: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 0 K
  • RHP Luis Moreno: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, W (6-1)
  • RHP Carlos Guzman: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
  • LHP Daniel Juarez: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
  • RHP Ryan Lambert: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (46-20*/13-17)

BROOKLYN 3, GREENSBORO 2 (BOX)

Brooklyn hasn’t quite recaptured their first half magic yet, but they did win a bullpen game in this one. Seven pitchers combined to allow only two runs and six hits, and Boston Baro had a huge offensive day to drive the Cyclones to a win

  • 2B Marco Vargas: 2-4, R, 2B, BB, E (8)
  • 3B Colin Houck: 1-5, 2 K
  • CF A.J. Ewing: 1-4, R
  • RF Eli Serrano III: 1-3, BB, K
  • SS Boston Baro: 4-4, R, HR (4), 3 RBI, SB (18)
  • C Ronald Hernandez: 0-4, 3 K
  • 1B Corey Collins: 0-4, 4 K
  • DH Troy Schreffler Jr.: 0-4, 2 K
  • LF Diego Mosquera: 0-4
  • RHP Noah Hall: 3.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 1 K
  • RHP Hoss Brewer: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
  • LHP Ryan Ammons: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
  • RHP Ben Simon: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, H (4)
  • RHP Saul Garcia: 1.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, W (4-2), BS (1)
  • RHP Dakota Hawkins: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, H (2)
  • RHP Josh Blum: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, S (1)

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (34-31*/20-9)

ST. LUCIE 6, JUPITER 1 (BOX)

And here we are with another Mets team running rampant in the second half. Homers from Nick Roselli (who has come on strong of late) and Yonatan Henriquez paced the offense in support of a very solid pitching effort. Hunter Hodges was the only arm who struggled, walking three and allowing the lone Hammerhead run in two innings of work.

  • 3B Trey Snyder: 3-5, R, RBI, K, 2 SB (30)
  • 2B Nick Roselli: 2-5, R, HR (7), 2 RBI
  • 1B Trace Willhoite: 0-3, BB, K, E (4)
  • DH Yohairo Cuevas: 0-4, R, BB, 2 K, SB (11)
  • RF Randy Guzman: 0-3, 2 BB, SB (1)
  • C Vincent Perozo: 1-4, BB, 2 K
  • SS Yonatan Henriquez: 2-4, R, HR (6), RBI, BB, 2 K
  • CF Simon Juan: 2-5, R, 2B, K, 2 SB (5)
  • LF Willy Fanas: 0-3, R, BB, K, SB (7)
  • RHP Irving Cota: 5.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 5 K
  • RHP Ernesto Mercedes: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, W (3-2)
  • RHP Hunter Hodges: 2.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, H (3)
  • RHP Cristofer Gomez: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K
