Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/14-6)
GAME ONE
SYRACUSE 16, NORFOLK 7 (BOX)
This one picked back up where the game was suspended on Friday night, in the bottom of the seventh with the score tied 7-6. The score didn’t stay 7-6 for long, as Francisco Alvarez led off the top of the eighth with a solo homer. Syracuse added a whopping 8 more runs in the top of the ninth and turned what had been a slim lead into a comfortable victory.

GAME TWO
NORFOLK 6, SYRACUSE 4 (BOX)
Can we officially say Brandon Sproat is back? For his fourth straight start, the right-hander did not allow an earned run- Norfolk scored in the second thanks to not just one, but two errors- allowing just a single hit, walking one, and striking out nine. That gives the right-hander 23.0 innings without allowing an earned run; over that span, he has lowered his season ERA from a 5.95 to a 4.34, which is actually a shade below the International League average.
Unfortunately, Julian Merryweather is not Brandon Sproat, and in the bottom of the eighth, the right-hander allowed three runs, tying things up at 4-4. On inning later, in the bottom of the ninth, Austin Warren walked Dylan Beavers and then gave up the game-winning home run to Dylan Carlson.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (45-22*/13-7)
NEW HAMPSHIRE 11, BINGHAMTON 6 (BOX)
Binghamton got out to an early lead and never looked back, going up on the Fisher Cats 4-0 by the second inning, but Jonathan Santucci fell apart early. He had a fairly easy first inning but struggled in the second. To make matters worse, he failed to cover home plate on a dropped strike three that Chris Suero was fielding, allowing a run to come in from second thanks to his own head being in the clouds and prompting Reid Brigniac to lift him from the game. Things didn’t get better for Binghamton from that point on, and while the offense was doing damage, they just couldn’t keep up with the pace the pitchers were giving runs up.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (46-20*/11-12)
HUB CITY 2, BROOKLYN 1 / 10 (BOX)
The Cyclones got on the board in the top of the second on a Diego Mosquiera RBI single, and for most of the game, it looked like that might be it. Finally, in the eighth, the Hub City Spartanburgers- I can’t believe I just typed that- tied things up with a solo homer. Neither team scored in the ninth, so into extra innings we went. In the top of the tenth, Brooklyn moved ghost runner Mosquiera to third with a successful sac bunt, but Marco Vargas and Eli Serrano both went down swinging to leave him stranded. The Burgers, on the other hand, had much better luck and won things in the bottom of the inning on a RBI single.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (34-31*/15-7)
ST. LUCIE 11, PALM BEACH 1 (BOX)
The St. Lucie Mets jumped out to an early lead thanks to a Trace Willhoite three-run homer in the bottom of the first and never looked back. They added another run in the third, four more in the fifth, and three more in the seventh. As they kept scoring and scoring, Wellington Aracena and the bullpen kept putting up zero after zero. Palm Beach finally got on the board in the top of the eighth, but their lone run didn’t factor into anything except avoiding a shutout.
