SYRACUSE 8, LEHIGH VALLEY 7 / 10 (BOX)

The night after Syracuse was shut out, the offense broke out to carry them to an extra-inning victory. Francisco Alvarez went deep for Syracuse again and Yonny Hernández provided the walk-off knock in the tenth. Luke Ritter and Jakson Reetz, who both had big nights at the plate, were also part of the game-winning rally in the tenth.

Jett Williams simply cannot be stopped right now. He logged his second mutli-homer game of the season with two solo homers—one to lead off the bottom of the first and one in the third. Jonathan Santucci was strong in his Double-A debut, striking out eight batters over six innings to log the quality start and earn his first Rumble Ponies win.

This game was a scoreless tie until the seventh when Eduardo Herrera coughed up two runs to give the Blue Rocks a late-inning lead. Herrera took the loss for the Cyclones and Boston Baro was the only hitter to do anything of note, collecting three hits, including a leadoff triple in the eighth, which resulted in him crossing the plate with Brooklyn’s only run.

ST. LUCIE 5, BRADENTON 2 (BOX)

St. Lucie put up a run in the third and two runs in the fourth to build a lead which they never relinquished. Despite giving up two runs, Irving Cota earned the win and struck out a whopping nine batters in just 3 1⁄3 innings of work. It was a big night with the bat for Vincent Peroza, who collected three hits, including a double and a home run, and drove in two.
