Catch up on all the Mets prospects in yesterday’s minor league action!
Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/11-4)
LEHIGH VALLEY 2, SYRACUSE 0 (BOX)
The offense was nonexistent and Syracuse lost because of it, but that’s a minor note frankly. More importantly, Brandon Sproat had another good start, striking out four in seven scoreless innings. It’s his third consecutive scoreless inning, lowering his ERA by almost a full run and striking out eighteen over that stretch. Perhaps it’s a return to form, one that could either reinforce the major league pitching staff or serve as valuable trade bait at the upcoming deadline.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (45-22*/11-4)
BINGHAMTON 2, ALTOONA 1 (BOX)
An impressive Double-A debut for R.J. Gordon, who struck out eight over seven innings of one-run ball. He had a 3.06 ERA over 15 games (11 starts) for Brooklyn previously, and he’s raised his profile enough to be a decent org arm at this point. Not much else going on in this one – Matt O’Neill had three hits, as much as the rest of the offense combined.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (46-20*/10-8)
BROOKLYN 7, WILMINGTON 5 / 10 (BOX)
An exciting win for Brooklyn here; down two in the seventh, RBIs from Jefrey De Los Santos and A.J. Ewing tied the game. Three innings later, Ronald Hernandez walked things off with a two-run homer. That got the win for Daktoa Hawkins, who tossed 4.1 perfect innings of relief. A.J. Ewing also stole his 40th base of the season in the win.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (34-31*/11-6)
ST. LUCIE 5, BRADENTON 3 (BOX)
This game was a snooze-fest until the sixth, and then the teams started trading punches. The Marauders scored two, and St. Lucie responded with three in the seventh on a Willy Fanas homer. A wild pitch and a sac fly led to two more runs in the eighth, and though Bradenton responded with a run of their own – and despite six walks in the final three frames – St. Lucie clung on to the lead.
