Catch up on all the Mets prospects in yesterday’s minor league action!
Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (29-36)
SCRANTON/WILKES-BARE 7, SYRACUSE 5 (BOX)
Despite the 7-5 final, this game was not as close as it appears. The Mets fell behind 2-0, though they tied it up on a Drew Gilbert home run. It was kind of all downhill from there. The RailRiders went out to a 7-2 lead by the fourth inning, causing the Mets to play catch up. They ended up scoring two in the eighth and one in the ninth, but the deficit was too large.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (39-19)
RICHMOND 5, BINGHAMTON 2 (BOX)
I will break this down with a good and bad portion, because that sums up this game rather succinctly.
The good: Jett Williams hit two home runs. He has been good so far this year, earning a 150 wRC+ prior to this game, but only had four home runs before these two. Home runs are sick, according to Pete Alonso, so we love to see that.
The bad: The Rumble Ponies only had two other hits, Zach Thornton was not sharp, and they lost.
- 2B Jett Williams: 2-3, 2 R, 2 HR (5, 6), 2 RBI, BB
- CF Nick Morabito: 0-4, K

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (41-17)
BROOKLYN 4, ASHEVILLE 2 (BOX)
Brooklyn won their 41st game in rather ho-hum fashion. They took a 2-0 lead on a Boston Baro two RBI single, though they gave it back in the fifth. They took the lead back in the eighth, with the first run coming on a Jacob Reimer triple, and the second on a Carson Benge double. Ben Simon got the ball to close the game out and did so easily, striking out one in a perfect frame.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (32-26)
ST. LUCIE 16, DAYTONA 10 (BOX)
26 runs is something else, and the Mets came out on top. It was a seesaw affair too, with the Mets holding a 3-0 lead after one before giving up four in the bottom of the inning. The Tortugas padded that lead to the tune of 6-3, before the Mets made it 6-5. Daytona, again, extended their lead, making it 8-5. Finally, the Mets came back to tie it in the fifth at eight apiece, which ended up being the turning point.
Simon Juan hit a three run home run to make it 11-8, and they ran away with it from there (kind of, not really, but kind of). A Trace Willhoite double made it 12-8. The two teams traded runs in the seventh and eighth, making it 13-9. Daytona got one back to make it a 13-10 game, but a three run ninth for St. Lucie put the game to bed.
