Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (21-26)
SYRACUSE 5, ROCHESTER 2 (BOX)
Syracuse has had a tough season so far, but they won this game rather easily. They got off to a 5-0 lead, scoring once in the second, once in the sixth and three times in the seventh. Ronny Mauricio continued to hit the ball in his quasi-rehab assignment, including hitting a home run. Paul Blackburn got the nod to start and was excellent, surrendering just one hit over seven scoreless, striking out six. The Red Wings scored two in the ninth, but it was garbage time by then.
