Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (20-14)
SYRACUSE 9, LEHIGH VALLEY 2 (BOX)
Syracuse continued their winning ways with a ho hum 9-2 win over Lehigh Valley. They scored two in the first, one by a Mark Vientos single and the second on a Carlos Cortes ground out.
The good times rolled into the fourth, when Yolmer Sanchez drove in two more with a double and Hayden Senger hit a sac fly to make it 5-1. They added four runs in the sixth, with the big hit coming off a Mark Vientos double. On the pitching side, the bullpen was great and Mike Vasil had a encouraging, albeit it very short, start, going 4.2 innings of one run ball.

BINGHAMTON 5, PORTLAND 3 (BOX)
Binghamton was powered to this win by two strong innings — the sixth and the ninth. Trailing 1-0 in the top of the sixth, when a walk, a double, and a walk loaded the bases for the Ponies. After two outs, Brandon McIlwain walked to tie the game, and a throwing error by the Portland shortstop made it 3-1.
They added two insurance runs in the ninth, which ended up being crucial. An RBI single by Matt Rudick made it 4-1, and an Alex Ramirez walk push the lead to 5-1. Junior Santos came in to close the door and limped to the finish line, surrendering two runs before putting a W in the win column.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (16-14)
ROME 1, BROOKLYN 0 (BOX)
Well Brooklyn got two hits and did not score a run, and both were singles. They only walked three times. It was not what you want, and there is simply not much to talk about with respect to the offense.
However, Brandon Sproat was absolutely excellent for Brooklyn, which is something you do want. He gave up just two hits, striking out eight and walking three in the process. Unfortunately, he ended up a hard luck loser, as he faded a bit in the sixth. He walked two in the frame, and it chased him from the game. Joey Lancellotti did not pick him up, giving up a double to the first batter he saw to put the Cyclones behind 1-0, where they would stay.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (12-18)
BRADENTON 8, ST. LUCIE 3 (BOX)
St. Lucie gave up five in the second — putting them behind 5-1 at the time — and they were chasing the deficit from there. They had a few standout performances, namely Marco Vargas going 1-2 with three walks, Boston Baro going 2-5 with two RBI, Kevin Villavicencio going 2-4, Donovan Antonia going 2-4, and Jesus Baez hitting an RBI double, but they could not string together enough hits with runners in scoring position (3-15 on the day) to make those performances count.
