Catch up on all the Mets prospects in yesterday’s minor league action!
Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (13-16)
GAME ONE: SCRANTON/WILKES BARRE 5, SYRACUSE 0 / 7 (BOX)
Game one of the double header did not go well for the Mets. Dom Hamel gave up four runs in four innings, and the Mets scattered six singles and a double across the seven innings, but could not get the big hit. There really is not much more to talk about with this one.

GAME TWO: SCRANTON/WILKES BARRE 2 , SYRACUSE 0 / 7 (BOX)
If game one had little to discuss, game two has even less. Brandon Sproat got the start in this one and continued his inconsistent season, giving up two runs over four innings, surrendering five hits, walking two, and striking out four. He also hit two batters. He was far from bad, but he was not dominant, either.
Offensively, the Mets mustered only two hits — both singles. They walked three times and got hit by one pitch, but six base runners is just not going to get it done.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (13-9)
BINGHAMTON 3, ERIE 2 (BOX)
Zach Thornton got the ball in this one, marking his Double-A debut. He acquitted himself in fine fashion, surrendering just two runs in 4.1 innings. He did not miss many bats, however, surrendering five hits and striking out just two.
Offensively, Binghamton did their damage in the early going. They scored two runs in the second — one on a Yonny Hernandez ground out, and the other on a William Lugo single, and their third run in the fourth, when Lugo doubled home Kevin Parada.
Both runs Thornton surrendered came in the bottom of the fifth, and the bullpen picked up the slack to throw 4.2 innings of one hit, no run ball.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (15-7)
BROOKLYN 15, WILMINGTON 1 (BOX)
15-1!!
If we listed off the scoring in order we may be here all day. Our readers will miss the midday first pitch between the Mets and the Diamondbacks. and we cannot have that.
Needless to say, this was a good game. The best player on the field was Jacob Reimer, who was the designated hitter on the day, and he took the second part of that role seriously. Reimer went 3-5 with three home runs and five RBI, the first Cyclone to do it since 2005, and the first Cyclone to do it in Coney Island since 2001, according to the team.
Not to be outdone, Ronald Hernandez went 4-4 with two home runs. Every Cyclone had a hit, and four Cyclones had two or more hits. It was basically a perfect day of offense.
Not that it matters when your team scores 15 runs, but the pitching was excellent. Joel Diaz surrendered the only run and the only hits Wilmington got on the day, and the bullpen was perfect in relief.
- RF Eli Serrano III: 1-5, 2 R, 3B, RBI, 2 K
- 2B Marco Vargas: 1-4, 3B, 2 RBI, 3 K

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (13-10)
ST. LUCIE 8, PALM BEACH 6 / 11 (BOX)
St. Lucie won a thriller, having to go all the way to the 11th inning to secure the win.
Way back in the second inning, Daiverson Gutierrez gave them a 1-0 lead with a solo home run. A run scored on a double play in the third, making it 2-0. Palm Beach tied it in the third, and took a 4-2 lead in the sixth, though the scoring was only beginning from there.
Colin Houck tied the game with a double in the eighth, and Gutierrez made it a 5-4 game with an RBI ground out later that inning. The Cardinals would tie it with a sacrifice fly in the ninth, pushing it to extras.
The tenth went scoreless from both sides, moving the game onto the 11th. Trey Snyder — who had an excellent game, going 4-5 — drove in the first run of the inning. Nick Roselli chased him home to make it 7-5, and Yohairo Cuevas walked to make it 8-5. The Cardinals would score one in the bottom of the frame, but the lead proved to be too large.
