Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (13-14)
POSTPONED (INCLEMENT WEATHER)
Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (12-9)
ERIE 13, BINGHAMTON 3 / 8 (BOX)
Not a great start to the series! The contest was competed early on account of the rain, but odds are Binghamton wasn’t going to score 11 runs and pull a feather out of their caps in the ninth inning. Jack Wenninger came into this one with a 0.90 ERA and had it balloon over two runs to 2.92. Reliever Daniel Juarez had his ERA literally double to 12.79, and Hunter Parson had his almost triple, to 4.26.

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (14-7)
BROOKLYN 7, WILMINGTON 6 / 10 (BOX)
This one was a slobber knocker. The two teams traded the lead more than once, necessitating extra innings to figure things out. Saul Garcia was called to keep things knotted up and the right-handed did not disappoint, throwing a scoreless inning and keeping his modest scoreless streak going. In the bottom of the inning, Marco Vargas singled, and with Eli Serrano on third base thanks to the ghost runner rule and a balk, that was all she wrote. Of note in this one, Carson Benge continued showing life after a sluggish start to the year with not just his third multi-hit game, but a four-hit performance. Also, here’s a wacky stat: the Cyclones had as many stolen bases on the evening as they did hits- and the team logged nine hits!
