Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (10-14)
WORCESTER 14, SYRACUSE 1 (BOX)
It was just one of those nights for Syracuse, as Brandon Sproat got tattooed and nothing else really went right for the rest of the team. This makes it back-to-back one-strikeout starts for Sproat, and while he has only walked three hitters in total over those two starts, Worcester took advantage of putting the ball in play.
Catcher Chris Williams wound up throwing two innings once this one was well out of reach, and unfortunately, he got tagged for three runs himself. And there wasn’t much to write home about at the plate aside from a pair of two-hit games from Jon Singleton and Billy McKinney. The Mets continue to manage Drew Gilbert’s time, as he got the game off.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (11-6)
GAME 1: BINGHAMTON 5, NEW HAMPSHIRE 0 (BOX)
The Rumble Ponies swept their doubleheader against New Hampshire, and Joander Suarez continued to build on an outstanding start to his season. On top of the fact that he hasn’t allowed a run yet this season, Suarez hasn’t issued a single walk, either. It’s only fourteen innings, but after garnering some attention last year, you couldn’t ask for much more at the start of this season. It’ll be interesting to see how long he stays in Binghamton if he keeps pitching this well.
At the plate, Nick Morabito had a three-hit game with a home run, and Ryan Clifford went yard, too.
- CF Nick Morabito: 3-3, R, HR, 2 RBI, 2 SB

GAME 2: BINGHAMTON 4, NEW HAMPSHIRE 1 (BOX)
Three Mets pitchers, including 23-year-old starter Felipe De La Cruz, combined to rack up eleven strikeouts, and remember, minor league doubleheaders are made up of seven-inning games. De La Cruz now has 20 strikeouts and just three walks in 13.2 innings to go with a very shiny 1.98 ERA.
Jett Williams notched just a single in this one, but catcher Matt O’Neill was the star of the show at the plate, reaching base in all three of his plate appearances while hitting a home run and driving in three.
- SS Jett Williams: 1-4, K
- DH Ryan Clifford: 0-4, 3 K

High-A: Brooklyn Cyclones (11-6)
BROOKLYN 12, JERSEY SHORE 5 (BOX)
Zach Thornton, a fifth-round pick in the 2023 draft, allowed his first runs of the season, though just one of the five he surrendered was an earned run. As a result, he’s still the owner of a 0.48 ERA, but he didn’t make it through the fifth inning and gave up seven hits along the way.
Thankfully for Brooklyn, the lineup more than made up for the rough start. The 21-year-old Eli Serrano had himself a night with five hits, two of which were doubles and one of which was a home run. He’s hitting .263/.400/.491 on the young season. Four other Cyclones hitters had at least two hits on the night, and the Brooklyn bullpen was nearly flawless, allowing no hits and issuing just one walk across 3.1 scoreless innings.
- LF Eli Serrano III: 5-6, 3 R, 2 2B, HR, 3 RBI, K
- DH Jesus Baez: 1-6, RBI, 3 K

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (10-8)
DAYTONA 5, ST. LUCIE 4 (BOX)
As he continues his return from a prolonged absence, Matt Allan made the start and gave up one run in two innings. He’s only thrown 10.0 innings so far this year with St. Lucie, but he has a 2.70 ERA in the early going.
- SS Jeremy Rodriguez: 1-5, SB
- DH Colin Houck: 0-4, R, BB, 2 K
