Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (12-9)
SYRACUSE 4, COLUMBUS 0 (BOX)
Dom Hamel made perhaps his best start of the young 2024 season as Syracuse won. The 25-year-old struck out eight, walked two, allowed just one hit, and didn’t allow any runs in 5.1 innings of work. Luisangel Acuña had a good night, too, picking up a pair of hits and scoring twice—both times on hits by J.D. Martinez, who should be joining the major league Mets on Friday night. Mark Vientos and Trayce Thompson drove in a run each, and the Syracuse bullpen—which included Tyler Jay and Cole Sulser—threw 3.2 perfect innings to complete the win.

Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (6-9)
BINGHAMTON 7, NEW HAMPSHIRE 6 (BOX)
A six-run seventh inning was the highlight of Binghamton’s night as they beat New Hampshire on the road. Down 2-1 in as the inning began, Jeremiah Jackson hit his second home run of the season to tie the game before the Rumble Ponies strung together a few hits and walks to take a 4-2 lead. Kevin Parada capped the inning with a three-run home run to right field, giving Binghamton a 7-2 lead. With starting pitcher Troy Miller having gone four innings with two runs allowed, the Ponies called on their bullpen to close out the win, and it was an up-and-down night for them. Fortunately, they escaped with just four runs allowed, holding on for the victory in the process.

Every player in Brooklyn’s lineup either scored or drove in at least one run, and Stanley Consuegra had the standout night as he reached base four times and drove in three runs. Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (8-9)
DAYTONA 5, ST. LUCIE 4 (BOX)
With the major league Mets having beaten the Giants yesterday, the organization came oh-so-close to pulling off a system sweep, but St. Lucie came up just short. Colin Houck had a nice night at the plate with a hit and three walks, and St. Lucie scored four runs in total. They took a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the ninth, but Daytona got to reliever Ryan Ammons, and third baseman Ricardo Cabrera hit a two-run walk-off double to defeat St. Lucie.
