The Mets have made the roster moves official.
The Mets have officially selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Christian Scott from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of his major league debut tonight in Tampa Bay. The team has also called up right-handed reliever Cole Sulser and optioned fellow relief pitchers Danny Young and Dedniel Núñez to Syracuse.
With that, Scott is set to begin his major league career tonight, and the Mets get a fresh arm after both Young and Núñez pitched in back-to-back games on Thursday and Friday. In 3.0 innings at the major league level this year, Young has a 0.00 ERA and a 4.13 FIP. Núñez has thrown 6.1 innings with the Mets and has a 4.26 ERA and a 2.98 FIP.
Sulser has logged 3.2 innings at the major league level this year and hasn’t fared well in that very brief amount of time. He’s currently sporting a 9.82 ERA and a 3.41 FIP.
